Hydrosun represents natural heating with great penetration depth and high intensity of radiation without overheating of the skin.
The hydrosun® Irradiator is a mobile, easily manageable and maintenance-free medical device. Without producing ultraviolet rays, its emission lies in the deep penetrating area of infrared-A with wavelength from 0.76 to 1.4 m m. It reproduces the combination of the sun and the humid atmosphere. Only through the filtering effect of the water in the atmosphere does the sun’s radiation lose its harmful impact enabling a diversity of growth. Were this filtering by the humid atmosphere not to take place absorption of this energy through the water  in the most superficial human skin layers would occur.
Intense overheating and rapid tissue dehydration would be the result.
The unique principle of operation involves the use of a hermetically sealed water filter in the radiation path to absorb those infrared wavelengths which would otherwise harm the skin. Hence, with a high radiation intensity, therapeutic heating of deeper tissue layers over longer periods of time can be achieved.
